What is the Certified Cybersecurity Specialist (CCS) program?
CCS is a practical cybersecurity program that covers both offensive security and defensive security fundamentals. It helps learners understand how attacks happen and how security teams detect and respond to them.
The total duration of the program is 160 hours, delivered through structured hands-on training sessions.
You will learn reconnaissance, attack surface identification, vulnerability analysis, system and web exploitation, credential attacks, privilege escalation, persistence techniques, wireless attacks, and adversary simulation through practical labs.
The defensive module focuses on SOC operations, including monitoring, detection, and response. You will learn threat intelligence basics, SIEM usage, network and endpoint monitoring, digital forensics, phishing analysis, and SOC Level 1 workflows.
The CCS program is mainly practical. Concepts are explained briefly and then practiced through labs, simulations, and real-world security scenarios.
Basic IT or networking knowledge is helpful but not mandatory. The course starts with fundamentals to help beginners build a strong base.
You will work with commonly used security tools such as Kali Linux, Wireshark, Burp Suite, SIEM platforms, and other industry-standard utilities.
After completing the course, you can apply for roles such as Junior Security Analyst, SOC Analyst (Level 1), Cybersecurity Analyst, or Junior Penetration Tester, based on your skills and performance.
